secondary research : paper engineers

As we have been working with Richard Sweeney in our workshops i have also looked at his work through his portfolio on his website and some of his sketchbooks. By studing these it helped me develop my work and how to put the ideas generated in my head on to paper via different media.

3D skills are about understanding 3D potential of paper-based materials and the role play they play in graphic design.
By researching primary sources such as organic forms, architectural structures etc it will help me develop ideas to influence my work.

Here are some of the examples i was inspired by the most that consisted of repeated pattern in my eye..

here  the fluidity in the surface of the glass holds its elegance well on the surface aswel as the back because the strong structural steel skeleton behind it is still visual, to me it represents stregnth and agility just like water; waves.

very much reminds me of a honey comb effect but also of the corn on the cobb that has been sliced.

very well relates to a ripple of raindrop effect to the surface of water but in a much more solid n decorative manner.
